Graduation
On Saturday December 17, 2011, I had the pleasure after a rather hard year, of graduating with my Master of Science- Public Safety Administration from Lewis University in Romeoville, IL.

They Saved Ted!
On Sunday October 9, 2011, the Glen Oaks Volunteer Ambulance Corps presented prehospital save awards to four members- Judy Mella-Rabinowitz, Kathy Sexton, Frank Racaniello, and Komal Kapoor, two EMT's from the North Shore-LIJ Center for EMS- Corey Meyer and Pouche-Ralph Salomon, two paramedics from the North Shore-LIJ Center for EMS- Joey Martinez and Gary Davis, FDNY Engine Company 251, and FDNY EMS Lieutenant Lloyd Arscott. These awards were presented after the successful prehospital resuscitation of Corps life member and past president Ted Rabinowitz, who suffered a cardiac arrest in June. Ted recently returned to ambulance duty and is running for the 2012 Board of Directors.
